The Textielmuseum in Tilburg, the Netherlands, has invited us to browse through their magnificent archives. Ensuing, we have been commissioned to develop new pieces for the museum’s collection, inspired by our findings, using the TextielLab’s computer-controlled embroidery machine.

For the Another Terra exhibition during the Salone del Mobile, curated by Barbara Brondi and Marco Rainò, we were commissioned to create a small piece relating to the concept of a travel to a new planet which offers similar conditions as Earth;

Contrast is the result of our collaboration with Meitheal Mara, and consists of a Side-Table, Stool and Fruit-Bowls.

We were invited to take part in Editions in Craft’s kick-off project, in collaboration with the Siyazama Project a bead craft collective of women from KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa, initiated by professor Kate Wells.

Beyond the striking aesthetics, the design of the collection is based on the unexpected experience of using the material, which looks hard and heavy, but in fact is soft, flexible and light.
