For a long time, we have been intrigued by Mizuhiki – the Japanese traditional technique of ornamental knot-tying, made of fine cords of washi paper. Deeply rooted in Japanese culture, Mizuhiki is most often associated with gift-giving, where it symbolizes anticipation, celebration, and the bonds between giver and receiver

When invited by BYBORRE to explore the Create platform, we were fascinated by the assortment of available stitches, patterns, and colors this advanced tool offers.
We found Mizuhiki to be the perfect motif to visualize and exemplify this diversity.

The result is Knit Knot: a throw that features a decorative Mizuhiki knot, rendered through a sophisticated interplay of fine knitted stitches and textures. The design not only captures the delicacy and complexity of the traditional technique but also allows users to envelop themselves in the warmth and meaning of a centuries-old cultural practice, reimagined for today.

Exploring this fully customizable architectural lighting-system, we have created the dynamic luminous Light Forest installation.
Inspired by the sunlight shining through the woods, the panels, covered by a patchwork of 3M synthetic fine wood surface resemble an abstract, dense forest.

City of Light illustrates an abstract image of a city. In contrast to the most installations during the Glow Festival, using cutting edge lighting-technology, this low-tech installation consists of four hanging LED-lit light boxes, featuring layered images of imaginary cities.

The iconic swing, illuminated by a rechargeable LED element, creates a comforting ambiance through lighting and movement.
